Human-in-the-Loop Automation: Where People Should Stay in Control
Human review is most valuable where the cost of error is high, context is ambiguous or a decision carries meaningful responsibility.
Design the checkpoint
Define what the AI may do independently, what must be reviewed, what evidence the reviewer needs and what happens when the result fails.
Do not create fake review
A human who receives too many low-quality outputs becomes a rubber stamp. Automation should reduce workload while making important decisions easier to review.
